JOB VACANCY | MEP MANAGER

Location: American University of Iraq – Baghdad

Employment Type: Full-Time

Summer Hills is seeking an experienced and qualified MEP Manager to join our Engineering & Projects team.

The ideal candidate will have 17–20 years of professional experience in MEP Engineering and Project Management, with a strong technical background and proven experience managing complex construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all MEP activities throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and BMS systems.

• Coordinate MEP works with Civil, Structural, Architectural, and other disciplines.

• Review MEP drawings, specifications, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.

• Manage contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Monitor project progress and resolve technical issues to ensure timely delivery.

• Ensure compliance with approved designs, international standards, quality, and HSE requirements.

• Lead testing, commissioning, documentation, and final handover of MEP systems.

• Support project planning, cost control, resource allocation, and risk management.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to MEP engineers and project teams.

Key Requirements

• 17–20 years of relevant MEP experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred.

• Extensive experience in large-scale construction, commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial, or infrastructure projects.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Electrical, and BMS systems.

• Strong knowledge of international MEP codes, standards, and engineering practices.

• Proven experience managing contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong project planning, cost control, quality, and HSE knowledge.

• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent English communication skills.

• Experience with international contractors or consultants is an advantage.

• PMP or relevant professional certification is a plus.
