Purchasing Officer

Al Jazeera Telecom is looking for a qualified Purchasing Officer to join our Supply Chain Department.

📍 Location: Baghdad – Karrada

🏢 Department: Supply Chain

🕒 Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

📆 Working Days: 6 days per week

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing.

University degree is preferred.

Owning a pickup vehicle is mandatory.

Must reside in the Al-Rusafa area, with preference given to candidates living near Karrada.

Good knowledge of local markets, particularly ISP and telecommunications companies.

Ability to evaluate, analyze, and compare supplier quotations.

Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive prices and favorable commercial offers.

Basic English language skills.

Good communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and follow up on purchasing activities according to company requirements.

Identify suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.

Compare prices, evaluate offers, and negotiate the best commercial terms with suppliers.

Coordinate with requesting departments to identify purchasing needs and specifications.

Follow up on purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier commitments.

Coordinate with warehouses and other departments to ensure the availability of required materials.

Monitor local market prices and maintain updated supplier information.
