Job Vacancy – General Ledger Accounting Supervisor

Company: Fayhaa Pharma Location: Basra – Al-Zubair, Iraq

Fayhaa Pharma is seeking an experienced General Ledger Accounting Supervisor to oversee general ledger activities, ensure accurate accounting records, and support timely financial closing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise general ledger activities and review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and accounting adjustments.

Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

Review general ledger reconciliations and resolve outstanding differences.

Oversee fixed asset accounting, depreciation, additions, and disposals.

Support financial statement preparation and management reporting.

Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, Treasury, and Financial Planning and Analysis teams.

Support internal and external audits and strengthen accounting processes and controls.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

Relevant experience in general ledger accounting and financial closing, including team supervision.

Manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.

Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.

Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

CPA, ACCA, or a relevant professional qualification is an advantage.

Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting deadlines.
