Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static / Rotary)

is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (Static / Rotary)

Location: Baghdad

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and guidance in Mechanical Engineering for Oil & Gas projects.

Review and evaluate mechanical engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications, datasheets, calculations, and technical reports.

Ensure all designs comply with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

Optimize engineering designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and project objectives.

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of project deliverables.

Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability reviews, and technical workshops.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor installation activities and resolve field engineering issues.

Inspect mechanical equipment installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and clients to resolve technical queries and support timely project execution.

Support procurement activities through technical bid evaluations and vendor assessments.

Identify engineering risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, specifications, and project documentation.

Mentor junior mechanical engineers and provide technical guidance.

Ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and company engineering procedures throughout project execution.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

7-8 years of mechanical design experience within the Oil & Gas sector, covering upstream, midstream, and downstream projects.

Experience with Static and/or Rotary Equipment is required.

Experience within EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy, or Industrial projects.

Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering software.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal effectively with clients, senior management, contractors, and vendors.

PMP Certification is preferred.
