Senior I&C Engineer - Bin Omar Project

Raban Al Safina Group (RAS) is looking for an experienced Senior I&C Engineer to join our Bin Omar Project team.

Location: Baghdad

• Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Review and evaluate I&C engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, control philosophies, Cause & Effect charts, and technical specifications.

Ensure I&C designs comply with project requirements, client specifications, international codes, and standards.

Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, and Telecom disciplines.

Provide technical support throughout engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.

Review vendor documentation, PLC/DCS/SCADA packages, instrument specifications, and control system designs.

Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, SIL, constructability reviews, and technical workshops.

Conduct field visits to inspect instrumentation installation, cable routing, control panels, loop checks, and testing activities.

Participate in FAT, SAT, loop checking, system integration testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants, and clients to resolve technical issues.

Support procurement activities through technical bid evaluations and vendor assessments.

Identify engineering risks and recommend mitigation measures.

Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, specifications, and project documentation.

Mentor junior I&C engineers and provide technical guidance.

Ensure compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and company engineering procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.

7-8 years of I&C design experience in the Oil & Gas sector, covering upstream, midstream, and downstream projects.

Good knowledge of I&C engineering software.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively deal with clients, senior management, contractors, and vendors.

PMP Certification is preferred.
