Job Opportunity | IP & Access Network Engineer

🚀 Join IQ Networks (Baghdad)

IQ Networks is seeking a highly skilled IP & Access Network Engineer to join our team and contribute to the operation, maintenance, optimization, and expansion of our IP and FTTH network infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring network stability, enhancing performance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

🌐 IP Network

  Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Routers and Switches.

  Work with VLANs, Trunks, STP, LACP/Port-Channels, and Routing & Switching technologies.

  Configure and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF protocols.

  Manage and support BNG and PPPoE subscriber services.

  Work with NAT/CGNAT, ACLs, QoS, and subscriber bandwidth management.

  Monitor network performance, traffic utilization, latency, and packet loss.

  Troubleshoot network outages and performance issues.

  Perform software upgrades and configuration changes on network devices.

  Maintain configuration backups and recovery procedures.

🌐 FTTH & GPON Networks

  Configure and troubleshoot GPON OLT and ONT devices.

  Understand and support the complete FTTH path from OLT to ONT.

  Resolve ONT registration, optical signal, VLAN, and service-related issues.

  Monitor optical power levels and GPON loss budgets.

  Support FTTH expansion projects and new OLT deployments.

  Coordinate with field teams to resolve fiber-optic issues.

🖥️ Systems & Monitoring

  Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows Server environments.

  Familiarity with VMware and virtualization technologies.

  Utilize monitoring tools such as SNMP, Syslog, and NetFlow.

  Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, and FTP/SFTP services.

  Basic Python or Bash scripting knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  1_3 years of experience in Telecommunications, ISP, or Network Engineering environments.

  CCNA-level knowledge is required.

  CCNP certification is preferred.

Required Skills

  Strong Cisco Routing & Switching knowledge

  Excellent understanding of TCP/IP networking

  Experience with VLAN, STP, and LACP/Port-Channel technologies

  Experience with PPPoE and BNG services

  B2 in English

🕒 Working Conditions

  Full-time position.

  Five working days per week.

  Working hours: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

  21 days of annual paid leave.

  Office-based role with field visits when required and support during network incidents and outages.
