Senior Architectural Engineer

Company: Summer Hills

Location: American University of Iraq, Baghdad

Department: Design Office / Architectural

Reports To: Design Office Manager

Experience: 6–8 Years

Job Purpose

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architectural Engineer to lead complex architectural design and engineering activities for company projects.

The successful candidate will support the Design Office Manager in delivering high-quality, technically accurate, and code-compliant architectural solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of complex architectural designs and technical solutions for company projects.

Review and validate architectural designs prepared by Architectural Engineers to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and external consultants on complex technical matters.

Guide and mentor Architectural Engineers and Junior Architectural Engineers.

Coordinate with MEP teams during the construction phase.

Prepare and submit periodic reports on project activities and job performance to the Design Office Manager.

Ensure effective communication and follow-up on assigned tasks.

Support the team in resolving architectural and technical issues throughout project execution.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.

10-15 years of experience in architectural design.

Professional certification or license is preferred.

Strong experience with:

AutoCAD

Revit

3ds Max

Lumion

D5

Strong knowledge of relevant architectural design codes and standards.

Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Strong creativity and architectural design capabilities.
